Sinclair Stirrings
“… your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action.”
2 Corinthians 9:2Bruce & Pam Sinclair Fall 2004
Transitions
“O God, thank you that You do not change. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.
We rest in your steadfast immutability. Give us grace as it seems everything else in our life is changing rapidly.”
The above is typical of the kinds of prayers we’ve prayed lately. Below are some of the things that have been happening with us.
We spent the month of July in Ghent, Belgium. The time of pre-field training exceeded our expectations. We got some good, practical help in the areas of language acquisition, cultural adaptation, and team-building. Pam and I were both very involved in the process as I led the worship team and Pam chaired the hospitality committee. Celeste was in classes with others who were preparing to be TCKs (Third Culture Kids).
While we were gone, our house in Pace sold (thanks for praying). It was good to get back and reconnect with son, Tim as well as with our friends and church family.
On August 20th, we dropped Tim off at Covenant College, where he is enrolled for the fall.
As I write this letter, we are packing boxes and preparing to move to Waynesville, North Carolina, where we plan to stay until the remainder of our financial support comes in. From there comes the even bigger move – to Uganda!
Praise God for…
Good experiences in itineration and a wonderful response to our ministry.
A fruitful time in Belgium.
The quick, painless sale of our home.
God’s provision in ways we didn’t even think to request (see Eph. 3:20).
The provision of the manse at Hazelwood Presbyterian Church, where we can live until we’re ready to go to Africa.
Leading regarding Tim and Celeste’s educational needs.
Prayer Bullets
For the students, faculty, and staff of Westminster Theological College as they begin the fall semester.
For God to raise up more churches and individuals who will support this ministry as part of their regular monthly giving.
For wisdom in planning our itineration calendar.
For our daughter, Celeste, as she takes 10th grade on video and adjusts to many changes.
For our son, Tim, as he adjusts to his new living situation at Covenant College.
For a good smooth move to North Carolina.
For provision of everthing we need to get to the field pronto.
THANKS FOR PRAYING!
