Westminster Theological College - Proposed construction of the Complex
Location:
The proposed site located along Entebbe Road,  off Kaijansi trading center, covers an area 40,596 m2(squared), which is the equivalent to 4.06 hectares or 10 acres. It is a quiet location with beautiful scenery, which make it appropriate for the college.
Facilities:
The complex has been designed to cater for about 170 students. In view of the area available and the prime location, considerations have also been made for the complex to accomodate workshops and conferences. Holding conferences and workshops at the complex as an income generating activity should enable self-sustenance of the college.
At full capacity housing accomodates 270 people. Of these, 170 could be full time students. The other 100 could be conference or workshop participants.
A chapel sitting about 400 people , and a clinic have been included in the complex. Both these facilities should serve the surrounding community as well.
Considerations have been made for construction of the complex in phases. To allow for this, an effort has been made to design the buildings as semi-detached.
Design:
A simple and cost effective design, which allows for construction in phases, has been adopted. Attached are some of the sketches.
